Dr. Jared M. McCollum, Dr.TCM, R.Ac., has a love for people and helping them discover the amazing healing ability they all hold within themselves. Having graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Dr. McCollum has extensive training in Acupuncture, Oriental Diet Therapy, Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, Meditation and Taoist Psychology and Psychotherapy. He has also completed a year internship at the Saatcha Health Centre with Dr. Jagdeep Johal treating patients mainly suffering from mental emotional conditions. Currently he is working on a post-graduate program in Chinese Medical Gynecology under the renowned Bob Flaws.

Dr. McCollum has spent over 50,000+ hours serving the communities he has lived in over the last 12 years. He is committed to not only improving the health of his patients but also their community. Recently he was nominated to represent the Green Party of Canada for the Macleod riding and finished second in the election.

Recently Dr. McCollum was appointed by the Minister of Health to the Acupuncture committee for Alberta Health & Wellness. The committee's role is to create a professional college that will license and govern acupuncturist within the province of Alberta.

Married since 1999 and being the father of three sons Dr. McCollum has had plenty of experience treating his own children over the years as well as the many young ones that enter his clinic everyday. He has a calm approach to treating children with Chinese Medicine and takes on the role of the teacher to the children and their parents to do all he can to help prevent further illness.
